Let’s start off with the top choice amongst all others.
Tetris Effect: Connected
Are you ready for a trip to a Tetris universe where the rhythm is dictated by sound and image? Straight from the VR game, the experience can now be enjoyed by several people, on a single screen. How cool is that?
Directly based on the legendary Game Boy game, the title of Enhance Games marks the big comeback of home console licensing (with the exception of VR).
In a reworked universe, inspired by space and punctuated by a dynamic soundtrack, you will have, as usual, to align the Tetriminos in order to form lines and accumulate points.
A new mechanism, called Zone, allows you to freeze time and therefore stop the scrolling of the pieces in order, on the one hand, to make your job easier, and on the other hand, to accumulate lines to increase your total points. .
The real advantage of Tetris Effect: Connected is its basic operation: each piece produces a specific sound that integrates with the dynamic soundtrack. This principle allows to bring a rhythm to the whole and we quickly find ourselves with the feeling of composing the different pieces by aligning the different elements.
As a bonus, this experience can now be shared thanks to the addition of a multiplayer mode, usable locally as well as online. The Connected mode therefore offers you to unite to face 3 bosses whose difficulty and techniques vary according to the difficulty chosen. There is of course, in addition, a more traditional versus mode.
In summary, whether alone or in a group, Tetris Effect: Connected takes an excellent recipe and sublimates it with its thoughtful additions. Get ready to go on a roll with the best Xbox Series X game!
Destroy waves of demons
Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition
The forces of evil are trying to take control of Red Grave City and it’s up to you to face them with the help of the 4 protagonists of this brutal beat them up.
Devil May Cry 5 takes up the torch of the license with its new codes and is integrated directly into the scenario of the 4th opus. With this new iteration, Capcom surprises fans who no longer dared hope for a direct sequel.
The story itself is quite usual: Red Grave City is invaded by hordes of demons and you must, over the 20 levels, regain control of the place. The adventure is divided between 3 protagonists: Dante, Nero and V. These last two serve as an introduction to the game and therefore share the first half of the chapters.
Their own styles constitute an appetizer that reaches its climax when we meet Dante, the iconic hero. More powerful than ever, he finds himself facing even more dangerous enemies.
The missions dedicated to V and Nero are ideal for familiarizing yourself with gameplay enriched by various weapons and abilities. Thanks to this, the game brings a constant feeling of renewal and therefore, a reduced risk of fatigue. This feeling is reinforced by the alternation between the characters and their own styles.
The Special Edition also includes a 4th character: Vergil. With its more technical gameplay, it should delight fans of the license. This also adds a difficulty mode called āLegendary Dark Knightā which allows you to face even larger hordes.
Of course, the renewal is also done on the technical side with small graphic improvements with a āhigh framerateā mode for flawless fluidity or even Ray Tracing.

Sail to Viking Paradise
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Play as Eivor, a proud Viking, and conquer England to establish your own colony. Exploration and looting will allow you to gather the necessary resources for its development.
After taking a tour of ancient Egypt and ancient Greece, Assassin’s Creed takes you into the harsh world of the 9th century Vikings. This time you play as Eivor, a young warrior (or warrior), who decides to leave his clan to find a new colony on the hospitable lands of England.
But it will not be built on its own and it is necessary to travel through these territories to recover as many resources as possible and ensure the supremacy of the region. During this time, you will have to collaborate with historical figures of the Viking sagas to defeat your enemies.
More serious and down-to-earth than Odyssey , the storyline is divided into different narrative arcs, linked to a specific region or kingdom. The gameplay is still centered on exploration but the latter has been revised in order to allow the possibility of lingering on an additional objective without detaching too long from the main frame.
At the same time, you will of course have to manage your colony by allocating the resources that you would recover in order to develop it to the maximum. These can be recovered during your missions but also via numerous raids or hidden treasures, sometimes protected by an enigma (a wall to destroy, a key to find, etc.).
Handling side, we find the infiltration mechanisms that made the reputation of the first episodes while taking advantage of relatively brutal fights in the event of a more direct approach. Thanks to this, Valhalla is a game to recommend, which proudly takes over from the excellent Odyssey .

Must Have Collection
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
After defeating your enemy, you crash into the lands of Niwen. You must travel through these threatening territories to find Kun and get your hands on will-o’-the-wisps, lost in these inhospitable places.
After saving Nibel Wood from its terrible enemy, Ori crashes into Niwen’s inhospitable environment. His mission? Find Kun, Kuro’s only child.
Along the way, he will also have to recover lost wisps in this strange place.
To do this, Ori is rather well equipped compared to the previous opus with a panoply of weapons and powers available allowing him to fight his way in this threatening place.
The result is much more dynamic combat that blows a wind of modernity on aging gameplay. And clashes, there will be a lot between Niwen’s creatures and different awesome bosses.
But sometimes, the decor will push you to flee so as not to be buried by the collapse of these paintings which always amaze you.
The environments vary with areas ranging from desert to mountains to beaches and forests. The exploration is also very different with various gameplay ideas allowing constant renewal.
The game is a little more accessible than the first opus but remains pleasant to handle. It arises as a great adventure delivering the same sensations as at the exit of Ori and the Blind Forest with a welcome touch of modernity.
Become a Japanese Gangster
Yakuza : Like a Dragon
Change of hero for the license with a newcomer: Ichiban Kasuga, recently released from prison. He goes in search of an answer after being betrayed by his mentor, the patriarch of a large Mafia family.
After several opus centered on the usual antagonists of the license, Yakuza decides to review his recipe by focusing on a newcomer. Ichiban Kasuga poses as a touching and eccentric hero, driven by a strong sense of justice.
Oscillating between seriousness and humor, the tone of the game is intended to be faithful to previous opus while retaining a strong inspiration drawn from gangster cinema, both in terms of the cast and the artistic direction.
The decor, on the other hand, changes drastically. Exit Tokyo and Osaka, we now find ourselves in Yokohama, in the district of Isezaki Ijincho, faithfully reproduced for the occasion. It is full of life and activities, as usual.
The gameplay has been completely revised and is now oriented towards the RPG with tactical turn-based combat, emphasizing strategy above all. Rest assured, the sense of the epic and comical of this universe remains very present.
Small flip side, this orientation has the usual default of the RPG: it is necessary to farm to increase in power. Your different heroes will thus gain experience and learn new professions (similar to the notion of class) and skills.
It will therefore be necessary to balance your team in order to defeat your enemies and progress in the adventure.
In the end, the game is a real success and continues the momentum of previous games while blowing a welcome wind of novelty on the franchise.
We suggest you not to miss out on experiencing the adrenaline rush from one of the the best Xbox Series X games 2022!
Finish him!
Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
This game offers you to relive 27 years of Mortal Kombat in an alternate timeline mixing past and current events in a well-crafted storyline.
A reissue of the eponymous game, Ultimate is a complete edition incorporating all the additional content released during its year of life while improving the overall rendering by leveraging the power of Microsoft’s new console.
The base game was already a great title with rich and generous content. The storyline itself is well fleshed out for a fighting game with a story revisiting 27 years of Mortal Kombat in an alternate timeline based on the pitch of the last episodes. It is therefore accessible to regulars and neophytes alike.
On the other hand, there are only a few innovations and we should therefore not expect any surprises on this side. Fortunately, this is not a fault because the original gameplay is quite interesting with the usual Fatalities, even more bloody and brutal than usual.
To enjoy it, you will have access to no less than 37 ākombattantsā including a few characters from famous licenses: Rambo, Robocop, the Joker or even Spawn.
As a bonus, this reworked version adds some graphic details with a much finer rendering both in terms of outfits and the environment and 4K compatibility. Loading times are also reduced thanks to the much faster storage.
Best Xbox Series X games:
The Conclusion
Forza Motorsport: Spiritual license reboot, this new opus skips its number to mark a new start. The goal? Rethink the Forza experience with revised foundations, based on feedback from professionals (streamers, pro players, content creators, etc.). Thus, we already know that the off-piste experience will be much more developed with greater importance for the paddock aspect. For the moment no release date has been announced.
Hell blade 2: this title picks up where the story left off with the previous opus. We therefore find Senua, a heroine stuck in an endless nightmare, who would become the instrument of Ragnarƶk. It is also assumed that the game would resume the same operation as Senua’s Sacrifice with a principle of puzzles punctuating the progression and more and more punitive deaths. Unfortunately, these elements are only guesses and this long-awaited game has many surprises in store for us. No release date has been communicated.
Halo Infinite: recently postponed to fall 2021, this title is from the flagship license of the Xbox. The developers claim the largest and most vertical Halo world there is, based on what they envisioned in 2000, at a time when technology limited the possibilities way too much. Like Forza Motorsport, it should be a showcase for the X Series and its extraordinary power.
